The original motivation for starting this blog/website was to provide a space to assemble the writings (nonfiction and fiction) produced by myself over the last 19 or so years (This is written in late January of 2024). As well as to continue with new writing on subjects which are of interest to me, primarily in a blog format. After about two years it became clear that though I have many varied interests the only thing that was being written about was spiritual in nature. In a sense this was a surprise, as it’s not that I confine my intake of ideas, thoughts, ponderings, reading, listening, activities and so forth to the spiritual. Really quite the contrary. But my current output, at least in the form of the written word, aside from the casual, revolves directly or indirectly around the spiritual. Conversely, two years ago I envisaged the blog to deal with anything of interest to me including but not limited to: construction/architecture, agriculture/gardening, fishing, music, film, the natural world and of course the spiritual. Perhaps this is a  natural phenomena. Having been a part of a Fourth Way group for 20 years in the lineage of Gurdjieff and Pentland with a teacher who had been a student of Lord Pentland and Jean Klein. (I left group work Christmas of 2021). For detailed look at this see page 4 : Blog: What’s there to live for? ). It seems I’ve been, as has been said, “snake bit” by Gurdjieff’s teaching. But it may also be a function of my age now settled nicely into the fourth quarter of life. It appears these other interests just naturally fall away, at least as to their level of importance. And so, to date, the subject matter of the writings within (on the blog and non fiction sections) may sometimes be on a generic or secular subject but the approach will be from a spiritual perspective and quite often in particular a Gurdjieffian/Fourth Way perspective. At least for now. And there is material here you will find no where else. There are no cookies and other internet info snatchers on this site. There is no interest in monetizing what is contained here, so feel untethered to browse the material as you will. The fiction, for the present, is for my personal use.
